I agree that the light is too dim. My solution was that I had some "chandelier" or "candle light" LED bulbs.They give the equivalent of about 40w bulb using only 5w of electricity and should last forever. I have tested it and it does not seem to heat up too much. These teardrop-shaped bulbs are a little wide, so you have to make sure that the bulb does not touch either side on the inside of the mirror unit. It is easy to bend the socket bracket to adjust the spacing. There are narrower, cylindrical shaped bulbs that would work even better. My LED bulbs are dimmable, I don't know if undimmable chandelier bulbs are thinner. The manufacturer should really start using these. It would barely cost them any more money and make a much better product.I have only used the mirror a couple of times so far, but it seems okay.
