I was skeptical over the build of this lamp as the neck seemed so narrow. However once I put it together, it's a pretty sturdy and handy little mirror. I really like the pop out magnification mirror and how it just snaps back into its little space magnetically. And the base has a lip, making it more of a saucer to hold things in. I didn't notice it until I received it. That does give it a bit of a plus. The light is very bright and has lasted 4 hours and 20 minutes on the mid brightness setting. And the brightest setting hurts my eyes, Unless you need extreme light, a lower setting will do.
